Abucay eyes improved solar power system

The Municipal Government of Abucay is poised exert effort to further improve its solar power system that has been gaining popularity among government and business establishments.

Abucay Mayor Robin Tagle in a briefing with the local media said the solar power has greatly helped the municipal government’s austerity program through reduced electricity consumption. “Malaking natitipid namin sa kuryente dahil sa solar.

Sangguniang Bayan Secretary Leo Manrique also briefed the media that a solar farm will be put up in the vicinity of Abucay municipal hall to give more access to power users.
The mayor has yet to furnish the media the comparative report on power consumption since it adopted the solar power system last year.

The influx of prospective investors in the second class municipality and the planned transfer of the headquarters of Philippine Coast Guard further encouraged municipal officials to “do their best” to attract more investors and at the same time promote tourism in the area.
