There is now a high level of confidence among residents of Abucay, following good and improved infrastructures in the said municipality.
Abucay town Mayor Robin Tagle said there was a remarkable increase in residents paying their tax obligations compared to the previous years. “Maganda ang reaction ng mga kababayan natin at dumami rin ang nagbabayad ng tax ngayon,” said Tagle.
The mayor has yet to release exact figure about the town’s income for the period. Abucay is known for “tahong” and oyster and draws public market vendors for seafoods. Basically an agricultural town, Abucay is now a second class municipality. It is now host to new commercial establishments like Puregold, Alfamart and restaurants.
Tagle is inviting bank firms who want to put up a branch in Abucay. He said there are available spaces for banking and financial institutions in his municipality because our town is booming and ready to host more commercial establishments.” The mayor added that Abucay is recipient of various awards from the Department of the Interior and Local Government and civic organizations.
