“This is the solution to the supply-chain problem we are facing now, which is connectivity. That is precisely what this major infrastructure development is going to address,” President Ferdinand ‘Bong Bong’ Marcos Jr. said in his live interview with the media today, March 31.
PBBM attended the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge Milestones (BBM) which incorporates the Ceremonial Switching of Geotechnical drilling for said bridge held at the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP), in Mariveles.
“We are looking forward to its [Bataan Cavite Interlink Bridge] completion as soon as possible,” he added.
In this interview, he mentioned that the construction of said bridge will generate 23,000 jobs for the next 5 years.
The Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge initially started as an undertaking for Bataan’s Provincial Public-Private Partnership but was later on picked up by the Department of Public Works and Highways due to the immense impact of the project to the country.
Detailed Engineering Design for this project was already finished and construction is set to start late 2023.
