The Bataan Police Provincial Office (PPO) emerged as the top-performing provincial unit in the April 2025 Unit Performance Evaluation Rating (UPER) in Central Luzon, ranking first among nine provinces. Under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge PCOL Marites A. Salvadora, the unit was recognized for its excellence in law enforcement, community engagement, and crime prevention initiatives.
Also earning accolades was the Balanga City Police Station, which ranked sixth among 13 city police stations across the region. Led by PLTCOL Victor A. Cacdac, the station’s consistent efforts in maintaining peace and order, as well as implementing proactive policing strategies, contributed to its strong performance in the monthly evaluation.
The UPER is a monthly assessment tool used by the Philippine National Police (PNP) to gauge the operational effectiveness, administrative performance, and overall service delivery of its units. It aims to promote transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement among PNP offices nationwide. High-performing units are often cited as models of best practices within the organization.
Officials attributed the achievements to the dedication and hard work of all personnel, including police commissioned officers (PCOs), non-commissioned officers (PNCOs), and non-uniformed personnel (NUPs). The success of both the Bataan PPO and Balanga CPS was hailed as a reflection of strong leadership, teamwork, and the continuing commitment to serve and protect the public in line with the ideals of the Bagong Pilipinas governance agenda.
