Representative Maria Angela S. Garcia of Bataan’s 3rd Congressional District vowed to protect the consuming public by crafting relevant house bill that would redound to solving the challenges now confronting the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Congresswoman Garcia was among key lawmakers who attended the joint meeting of House Committees on Trade and Industry, and Health on May 26, 2025 where the FDA officials gave a briefing on the issue of certificate of product registration (CPR).
In her social media post, the re-elected lady solon said she would pursue the crafting of a bill aimed at solving problems presented by the pharmaceutical sector more particularly on application for CPR.
“Our move here is to protect the consuming public and the pharmaceutical sector by ensuring good quality and safe products,” Garcia pointed out.
Garcia expressed gratitude to Committee Chair Cong. Ferj Biron, Committee Secretary Val Palanca who organized the meeting, FDA Director General Paolo Teston and DTI officials.
