The Authority of Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) will now allow FAB firms to increase their workforce to 100% capacity following the reported decline in the number of COVID-19 cases in the freeport.
Karen Balmaceda Padaoan, AFAB senior information officer, said as of Thursday only three Covid-19 patients are awaiting recovery status. The AFAB prioritizes the good balance between the economy and health in the ecozone and FAB enterprises strictly follows the guidelines issued by the national government and the IATF.
Dr. Noel Bernardo, public health consultant, said the FAB enterprises “are allowed to increase its workforce up to 100% as long as the companies continue follow the prescribed protocols against the COVID-19.” “This is because it is important for the FAB to continue working towards the improvement of the economic activities, and at the same time, protect the health and safety of all its stakeholders,” Bernardo said in statement.
