First Lady Liza Marcos attended the launching of medical caravan dubbed “LAB For All” in Balanga City. Hundreds of Bataan residents on Tuesday availed of free medical consultations and services and free medicines with the launching of the project.
LAB For All was initiated by First Lady Liza Marcos in an effort to bring free medical consultations, laboratory services and distribution of medicines to the communities. “Ito ang nais ng aking asawa [President Marcos] ang maibaba ang serbisyong medikal sa mga Pilipino. Kayong mga taga Bataan, batid kong naapektuhan kayo ng magkasunod na bagyong Egay at Falcon, narito ang inyong gobyerno para tumulong”, the first lady said.
Bataan Governor Joet Garcia said “Mapalad ang Bataan pinapakita sa atin ng ating First Lady Liza Marcos ang kahalagahan ng primary health care. Magaling ang kanyang sistemang naisip, mas accessible ang medical services. Kaya nais nating iparating sa kanya na palalawigin pa natin ang programang ito sa lalawigan ng Bataan”.
Bataan 2nd district Cong Abet Garcia said, “Ang layuninng Lab For All ay pag-isahin ang bansa, yakapin at mahalin ang bawat Pilipino. Maraming mga Bataeno ang makikinabang sa proyektong ito.”
Pampanga Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay Baby” Pineda also joined the launching of the program in Bataan. Marcos thanked her, “Narito si Nanay Baby na pagdating sa pagtulong medical sa ating mga kababayan ay nangunguna rin. Salamat sa pagpunta rito.”
Health Secretary Ted Herbosa, DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, and TESDA Director General Suharto Mangudadatu were also present in the event.
