A free meat processing training session was conducted on May 16, 2025, by the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) at the Hermosa Covered Court. The event, led by Municipal Agriculturist Vincent Mangulabnan, was participated in by members of the local women’s group “Ina ng Hermosa.”
The training focused on the production of tocino and siomai, aiming to equip participants with new skills that could help them start small businesses or enhance their household income. According to the organizers, the initiative is part of the LGU’s ongoing efforts to promote livelihood opportunities and community development.
Officials and experts from the agriculture and veterinary sectors joined the event, including MAO Agriculture Consultant Pike Datu, Municipal Veterinarian Dr. Erika Malixi, and instructors Trinidad Tallorin and Friedpal Sabino from the Provincial Veterinary Office.
The local government extended its gratitude to all participating mothers for their active involvement and expressed its continued commitment to uplifting Hermosa residents through inclusive and skill-based programs.
