With the opening of classes for School Year 2024-2025 last August 5, Gov. Joet personally led the distribution of school supplies at Orani North Elementary School.
Currently in its 17th year of implementation, this free school supplies distribution started in 2008 during the time of the late Gov. Enrique “Tet” Garcia, with funds coming from the Special Education Fund (SEF).
For this school year, the Provincial Government of Bataan distributed notebooks, pad paper, ball pens and other essential school supplies to elementary students in 238 public schools province wide, including the Alternative Learning System (ALS) students. To date, distribution is still on-going.
Aimed at ensuring that every student is provided the essential materials that they need in school, this program is also a living testament to the provincial government’s commitment to fostering a supportive and enriching educational environment leading to providing quality education for all.
Moreover, Gov. Joet Garcia announced that starting next week, all primary students (grades 1 to 3) in public schools will be provided free lunch as part of the “Healthy Paaralan Para sa Matatag at Malusog na KaBATAAN” program. With this, the students have access to nutritious meals, promoting their overall health and well-being.
Gov. Joet was joined in the distribution by Orani Vice Mayor EM Roman, Councilor Abba Sicat, ASDS Dr. Armando Capili, and District Supervisor Jeolfa Reyes.
