Pregnant women shall be monitored by health workers assigned at the Rural Health Units to ensure the mother’s health and her unborn child.
This and many other health concerns were discussed during the May 20 Provincial Health Board meeting with Bataan Gov. Joet Garcia. Other issues tackled had something to do with medical services, health facilities, implementation of e-claims system, and maternal mortality cases.
The important role played by Barangay Health Workers, Barangay Health Volunteers and the health services they rendered to households were underscored including the schedule of vaccination.
The governor also mentioned the on-going construction of Morong District Hospital in Barangay Sabang, Morong. It has been the policy of the provincial government to look after the health conditions of residents more particularly in the barangay level.
The governor has required all residents to enroll in Philhealth so they can avail of the government’s health care programs.
Congressman Abet Garcia of Bataan 2nd Congressional District announced that arrangements has been firmed up with hospitals in the province for indigent patients who could hardly afford immediate confinement.
