The Municipality of Hermosa was recognized as the national 1st Place awardee for Excellence in First Patient Encounter (FPE) under the PhilHealth Konsulta Program during the PCPN Program Implementation Review and Strategic Planning held on July 31 in Baguio City. The award highlights the town’s commitment to quality primary health care services for its residents.
Municipal Health Officer Dr. Warren Valencia, together with representatives from the Hermosa Municipal Health Office, personally received the award on behalf of the local government. PhilHealth cited Hermosa for its exemplary performance in delivering timely and compassionate service during initial patient consultations, a key component of the Konsulta Program, which aims to strengthen preventive and outpatient care.
The Konsulta Program, short for Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama, provides free consultations, screenings, laboratory tests and medicines as part of the Universal Health Care law.
This latest recognition follows Hermosa’s earlier distinction as a top performer in the 2024 Konsulta Summit, further solidifying the town’s reputation for excellence in health services.
