Aetas belonging to Magbukun tribe received last February 6, a total of 300 food packs from the Municipal Government of Abucay, Bataan. Said food packs consisting of rice, canned goods and personal items were overwhelmingly appreciated by the natives led by IPMR Jay-R Reyes who represents them to the Sangguniang Bayan ng Abucay.
Abucay Mayor Robin Tagle said the occasion coincides with the meeting with Aetas to discuss the issue on the preservation of Magbukun culture including their dialect which the local government is trying to promote.
Anent to this development, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan under the leadership Bataan Vice Gov. Cris Garcia passed a resolution extending assistance to the Aetas to develop and safeguard their educational needs by promoting their culture.
Mayor Tagle said the municipal government recognizes Magbukun language for them to develop so that they can communicate with each other for a progressive community.
