In a heartfelt display of public service and commitment to youth empowerment, the Local Government of Mariveles, led by Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion, has officially launched the “Alalay Chikiting para sa Matatag na Edukasyon” (ACE) Program 2025—a flagship initiative that aims to support thousands of students by providing essential school supplies across public schools in the municipality.
The program’s kickoff event was held at Antonio G. Llamas Elementary School, where the cheerful energy of young learners filled the air as they received their educational kits. Mayor Concepcion, joined by Vice Mayor Lito Rubia, the Sangguniang Bayan, School District Supervisor Dr. Rodger de Padua, school principals, and proud parents, emphasized the local government’s continuing mission to make education accessible and meaningful for every Mariveleño child.
Around 32,000 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 are set to benefit from the initiative—each receiving basic school materials to help ease the financial burden on families. “It may seem like a simple gesture, but these tools can spark big dreams,” said Mayor Concepcion. “Education is the foundation of a better future, and through ACE, we want our children to feel supported and inspired from the very beginning.”
This new effort builds on Mariveles’ reputation as one of the most child-friendly towns in Central Luzon. In recent years, the municipality has received recognition from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) for its child-centered programs. Mariveles has been awarded the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance multiple times, owing to its sustained efforts in health, protection, early childhood care, and education.
Programs like ACE are anchored on these successes, reflecting a growing commitment from Mayor AJ Concepcion’s administration to nurture not just learners, but the entire ecosystem of child welfare. With continuous support for education and holistic child care, Mariveles is steadily paving the way for a brighter and more inclusive future for the next generation.
