Mulawin Punong Barangay Marvin S. Dela Cruz has officially assumed his new role as President of the Orani Liga ng mga Barangay, also known as the Association of Barangay Captains (ABC), following an oath-taking ceremony held yesterday.

The oath was administered by Orani Vice Mayor Em Roman, who expressed support for Dela Cruz’s leadership and the important role of the Liga in uniting barangay efforts across the municipality.

Punong Barangay Dela Cruz brings with him years of proven grassroots leadership in Barangay Mulawin, where he is known for his proactive stance on governance. Under his watch, Mulawin earned recognition from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) as a Provincial Showcase Barangay in 2018. He has also been commended for implementing local ordinances on no-parking zones, conducting regular clearing operations, and promoting discipline and safety within the community.

As ABC President, Dela Cruz is expected to represent the collective interests of all barangay captains in Orani, facilitate coordination between the municipal government and the barangays, and spearhead programs that will uplift the quality of local governance. In his brief address after the oath, Dela Cruz expressed gratitude for the trust of his fellow barangay leaders and vowed to continue advocating for inclusive development and responsive public service.
