Hermosa Mayor Jopet Inton on Tuesday led the official opening of the new evacuation center in Pleasant Homes, Barangay San Pedro, Hermosa. The ceremony commenced with a ribbon-cutting led by Mayor Inton, accompanied by the blessing of the facility by Fr. Denz Dumaguing.
Among those present at the inauguration were ARD DPWH-3 Melquiades Sto. Domingo, OIC-OCD R3 Shelby Ruiz, DILG-Regional Director R3 Atty Anthony Nuyda, Provincial DOH Head Dr. Francisco Hermoso III, Chief Disaster Response Management Division DSWD FO3 Marites Liwanag, Science Research Specialist Mines and Geosciences Bureau R3 Kryztyn Angela G. Patambang, Board Member Tony Roman, Vice Mayor Patrick Rellosa, SB members, and Barangay San Pedro Council.
Mayor Inton said the new evacuation center is expected to play a crucial role in the community, providing safety and hope during times of calamity. It will serve as the town’s sanctuary and stronghold in times of need. Mayor Inton expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the realization of the new evacuation center in their town.
