In celebration of Farmers and Fisherfolk Month, more than 200 beneficiaries from the agriculture and fisheries sectors received support from the Local Government of Mariveles on May 28. The distribution was held at the Mariveles Sports Complex.

Among the assistance provided to farmers were over 200 RF Seeds Palay, EMAS Microorganisms Activated Solution, HUMUS WSG 56.9%, and BIO-H600 Biofertilizer. Meanwhile, fisherfolk received 30 gillnets (kitang), 20 tuna handlines, 3 sets of engine repair kits, one shallow payao, and one diesel engine.

Present during the event were Municipal Administrator Tito Pancho Catipon, Municipal Agriculturist Janine F. Torres, Councilor Omar Cornejo, and Municipal Consultants Ludy Funilas and Leoncio Lungcay, who showed their full support for the initiative.

The Local Government of Mariveles, under the leadership of Mayor Kuya AJ Concepcion, Vice Mayor Lito Rubia, and the Sangguniang Bayan members, remains committed to empowering the town’s farmers and fisherfolk toward a more productive, sustainable, and humane agricultural and fisheries sector.
