True to its mandate of mobilizing the provident funds of its members for housing purposes, PAG-IBIG is set to fund Bataan housing projects in Brgy. Upper Tuyo in Balanga City for government and private employees and the Westhill Village in Brgy. Pandatung, Hermosa for the employees of Sumi Philippines Wiring Systems and Hermosa residents.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday morning, February 16, to start the construction of the Westhill Village which is estimated to have 681 housing units for its first phase.
In a meeting with Governor Abet Garcia last February 15, PAG-IBIG fund Vice President for Corporate Sales Group Mr. Anthony Maglunsod and Department Manager lll on Institutional Housing Department Ms. Jacqueline Constantino, presented various housing projects funded by their agency which offers different long-term payments to their respective beneficiaries in different municipalities in the country.
In a related development, the housing project for government employees and the private sector in Balanga City will have an estimated 500 housing units.
These projects were made possible through the continuous coordination of the Provincial Government of Bataan through the Bataan Human Settlement Office (BHSO-PGO) headed by Mr. Chris Leonzon with various concerned agencies.
