Pilar housing project fulfills dream homes for thousands

In a historic move to address the housing needs of Pilar’s underprivileged residents, the local government, in partnership with the Department of Human Settlement and Urban Development (DHSUD), launched the Katuparang Pabahay para sa Bayan ng Pilar project. This ambitious housing initiative aims to construct thousands of affordable housing units under the 4PH program, bringing the dream of homeownership within reach for many.

Set to begin construction soon, the project stands as a testament to the unwavering dedication of local and national leaders. Mayor Carlos “Charlie” Pizarro Jr., at the helm of Pilar’s local government, expressed excitement and optimism for the program, which he believes will significantly uplift the lives of Pilar’s low-income families.

The Mayor acknowledged the crucial role played by the Provincial Government, led by Governor Jose Enrique “Joet” Garcia III, and 2nd District Representative Abet Garcia in bringing this initiative to life.

“The journey towards this milestone has been a collective effort,” Mayor Pizarro said. “With the support of DHSUD Secretary Jose Jerry Acuzar and the collaboration across all levels of government, we are now closer than ever to realizing the dreams of thousands of Pilar residents.”

Under the 4PH program, or Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program, the housing units will be made available at affordable rates, offering a sustainable solution to the long-standing housing challenges in the area. Secretary Acuzar emphasized that the project is part of a broader national agenda to ensure that every Filipino has access to safe and dignified housing, with Pilar serving as a model for other municipalities.

The construction phase is expected to bring not just new homes, but also job opportunities for local workers, further boosting Pilar’s economic development. Residents and beneficiaries are eagerly awaiting the project’s completion, viewing it as a chance to secure not only a house but a stable and promising future for their families.

As groundbreaking and construction begins, Pilar’s skyline is set to change — not just with new buildings, but with the hopes and dreams of its people reaching new heights.
