Samal municipal government under the leadership of Mayor Alex Acuzar distributed rice seeds as aid to local farmers affected by Typhoon Carina. A total of 59 bags each containing 20 kilos of rice seeds were distributed 29 affected farmers.

Acuzar, who is concurrently the OIC of Municipal Agriculture Office said the distribution aims to help affected Samal farmers to start anew. “We want our farmers to quickly recover from the effects of the typhoon”, said the mayor. Acuzar assured continued support and assistance to Samal farmers.
