The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) ng Bataan headed by Vice Governor Cris Garcia passed an ordinance on i𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞-b𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 p𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 for resilient barangays in the province titled “𝟏𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬”.

Said Ordinance targets that all 237 barangays in the province efficiently respond and reduce risks during disasters and calamities. Board Member Popoy Del Rosario who sponsored the Ordinance said incentives will be given to barangays that can comply with the set standards contained in the Barangay Resilience Bingo Scorecard meticulously outlined by the National Resilience Council in cooperation with 1Bataan Resilience Council.

Governor Joet Garcia thanked the Sangguniang Panlalawigan members for the legislative piece. He also thanked Board Member Del Rosario for sponsoring the Ordinance which has already been approved by Governor Joet Garcia.
