Limay promotes local products

The municipal government of Limay with Mayor Nelson C. David and son, Vice Mayor Richie Jason David is taking a bold step to promote local products by holding a 19-day agri fair through the Limay Agricultural Tourism Local Producers Community.

Being held at the municipal quadrangle, the agri-tourism fair showcases the town’s local products such as peanut butter, cashew nut, vinegar, dried fish, sweets, honey, fruits and vegetables, among others. All items are sold at low prices.

Vice Mayor Richie said in his social media post that the project was pursued in coordination with Sangguniang Bayan Member Rory Perez of committee on tourism. He said this project aims to enhance tourism industry and at the same time promote local economy.

“Gusto din natin makilala ang ating produkto hindi lamang sa Bataan kundi sa iba pang bahagi ng bansa,” said the vice mayor. (We also want our local products to be recognized not only in Bataan but in other parts of the country.)
