On July 09, 2025, representatives from the World Bank (WB) and the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) visited the Orani Fish Landing & Trading Facility in Brgy. Pantalan Bago. Said facility is funded by the World Bank under the I-BUILD component of Additional Financing 2 (AF2) and implemented through the PRDP under the Department of Agriculture (DA).
Said visit is part of the ongoing 19th World Bank Implementation Support Mission (WB-ISM) to the PRDP and the 4th WB-ISM to the PRDP Scale-Up, aimed at evaluating the project’s implementation performance and ensure that all World Bank-assisted projects are carried out efficiently.
During the visit, the subproject profile was presented, along with the draft policies and operations manual for the Facility. These documents are intended to serve as key references for the effective management, institutionalization and long-term sustainability of the Facility.
An exit conference was also held at the Tourism Pavilion, where WB representatives shared their findings, observations and recommendations based on the site visit and stakeholder engagements.

Johanna Dizon, Orani Vice Mayor Emmanuel Roman, Assistant Secretary for Operations and PRDP National Project Director U-Nichols Manalo, PRDP-PSO North Luzon Deputy Project Director Elma Mananes, WB Senior Rural Development Specialist and Co-Task Team Leader to PRDP Maria Theresa Quiñones, WB Human Resource Specialist Shubham Singh, WB Infrastructure Engineer Engr. Raoul Azanza and WB Social Environment Safeguards Specialist Son Von Nguyen.
