SM Supermalls, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), has launched a Business Continuity Planning (BCP) program to equip micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with the tools to prepare for and recover from disruptions. The initiative reflects SM’s commitment to fostering resilient and sustainable communities by supporting the MSMEs that form a significant part of its tenant base.

The BCP training sessions are being conducted nationwide in various SM malls, in collaboration with DTI’s regional and provincial offices, as well as the Bureau of Small and Medium Enterprise Development (BSMED). Thousands of MSMEs are expected to benefit from the program, which covers essential crisis management strategies tailored for small business operations.

On June 3, 2025, a training session was held at SM City Bataan, drawing participants from the food, apparel, and general merchandise sectors. Attendees, including representatives from both MSMEs and larger companies, shared positive feedback, noting that the seminar provided practical tools for disaster preparedness and business continuity.

SM Supermalls reiterated its dedication to helping MSMEs build long-term resilience. By providing support beyond flexible leasing terms, SM aims to ensure that small businesses are not only able to survive crises but also thrive in the face of future challenges.
